S50HQ with the special "ZRS" multiplier was put on the air by Slovenia Contest Club during 98 IARU HF CHAMPIOSHIP. Station was operated by Dan, S50U and Tadej, S51TA. They run 100W out, 80-10m, SSB/CW. Two radios were used, one of which only as a spotting station. Antenna setup consisted of a 3-el triband yagi and FD-4 multiband dipole. The working conditions and the rules followed were basically the same as they will apply in WRTC2000.
We tried to simulate as close as
possible the conditions the Teams are going to face in WRTC2000, thus giving us a valuable
information which is hereby passed-on to the contest community.
