I have been banging my head against the wall now for several days,
until suddenly I made progress. It seems that every time I start
getting fed up, my score suddenly jumps up a couple of thousand,
and I spend several days "filling in the gap".
73 and Merry X-Mas de LA5EKA, Gisle in Norway.
I downloaded RUFZ a few days ago. I recently passed my 5
word-per-minute Morse exam. I want to increase my speed to do some
real QSO's using CW.
Thank you for the RUFZ program! It is very effective -- very
stressful, too.
But I can see that my speed is increasing, so the pain is worthwhile.

It's been a while, but now I am at it again.
This is great fun ! New score coming next week :)
Gisle, LA5EKA in Norway
Hope it makes it to this weeks list :)
Who knows, perhaps there will come even one more
today, since I am feeling lucky :))
My previous hiscore was made on friday.
I tried many times this weekend without improving, then
suddenly today I got it right !
73 de LA5EKA, Gisle in Norway...
Training, training, all is in the training!
73 de Mau, F8BPN
I will practice more and be back...

Contestgeschwindigkeit einiges gebracht.
73 und vielen Dank DL1NKS Stefan Klein
This is my first time to turn in my results.
I like RUFZ and I will continue to try and to improve.
73 Hans DJ7BA
This is fun.... Thought my cw was better than this,
but I have to start training again. I'm a bit rusty...hihi.
Will soon return with another score.
This is more fun then I ever would dreamed of !! ;-)
73 Morton LA9DFA
Slowly working myself up the list :)
73 and tnx fer nice program...
de LA5EKA...
It is not enough to climb the list, but I am on my way to 70K.
I can feel it! If I did not made so many stupid mistakes
at the and I could made 70K today.
I am so exited. This is real fun.
Now I am ready to go to my contest QTH for the ARRL contest.
I only hope we can run this contest in peace.
GL!
73 de Lech, LA7MFA
It will be an honour to be in your top-list! I admire those real HSCW masters especially
after seeing them at the 1991 HSTC in Neerpelt Belgium I was
73 Anton ON6NL
This is my first claimed score submitted to the toplist,
thanks to Philippe F6ETI who motivated me for this challenge...
Knowing that more or less 300wpm was my upper speed limit,
30k was my "realistic"objective. Started around 17k,
and it costed me hundreds of attempts before I could crack the 25k barrer,
and another few hundreds to reach my objective.
Fully share the comments expressed by DL7MFA 2 years ago about the over -
represented / absent prefixes in the callsign list...
too many exotic prefixes are making this game a bit peculiar compared to
real traffic, and it is one of the reason why many attempts are required
before you can reach a score representing your QRQ skills.
But at the end you get use to the numerous C3 (average 3 /attempt) FO0,
8Q7 and HP prefixes, and you are able to cencentrate on the suffix,
which is one of the "secret" of this game
(sorry I am still looking for the other ones!).
Another factor is luck...
get a few "well known" or "easy" callsigns at the best moment
(when you reach you -speed limit-) , and you are "on" for a good run...
Sure will never reach the top "E.T." scores but doesn't matter... It is fun !

It has been almost 2 months since my last record. I have been working hard
every day, and was close
to beat it several times. The problem is really to control my nerves. When I
get goot run, I get so nervous
at the end. Again I deliberatly did not look at the score during my run.
When I finished, I knew it was my best
score ever, but I did not expect it to be over 60K points!
I guess this one is also possible to beat. I made many stupid mistakes at
the end, and I could have done better.
This is really fun! Combination of CW and computer game! I guess I am ready
for CQWW this weekend!
73 de Lech, LA7MFA
Training pays off! I made 58,4K points at my first try today. New record!
It helped when I stopped looking at my score.
It feels nice to beat a couple of well known Germans on the toplist.
73 de Lech, LA7MFA
First time I broke 20k score :)
Peter OK1FCJ
Here is my latest score. I have been working hard for many months now, and
I feel my average speed is improving, but I can not handle the press of
last 10 QSO's. When I see good result after 40 callsigns, I get so nervous
I spoil everything. I was very close to improve my best score many times,
but finally managed to improve it with just a few points.
I also got a best max speed of 480 today, and was very close to get 500. So
me and Andreas LA8AJA have the same max speed again. But I will not give up
now. I can feel that my CW is still improving. I have almost 50 runs with
over 50K points, and 500 speed is just around a corner!
RUFZ is a great software! It helped me to make 1800 QSO in SAC contest last
weekend with very modest antennas. If you don't have a great signal you
have to make an attention by creating a pileup, hi.
Thank you once again for sharing RUFZ with us.
73 de Lech, LA7MFA
Some days ago I sent my score (I broke 32k points). Then, after a few days
I made my new personal record breaking 34k pts. Still far away from the
top scores but also still better and better.
73 TOM SP5UAF
After some time I can submit my score again. I broke the 30000 points so
it is the next step for me.
Now I am located at rank number 118. I am very glad to move some
positions up soon.
Kindest regards Tom SP5UAF
Some days after I submitted my score for the first time I can send my
next record. Not so big comparing to the top scores but... step by
step, who knows...
Kindest regards
Tom SP5UAF
Finally, after over a year, I finally
beat my old score.
73 de Andreas, LA8AJA
My hunt for LA7MFA seems closer than ever...
Only 4k away.
73 de Andreas, LA8AJA
It has been over a year since my last best score. Now I had to work
hard for a couple of months to get back. I have only improved my
result with 700 points, but it is a good beginning.
Thanks to Andreas LA8AJA for providing the competition ....
and motivation.
73 de Lech, LA7MFA
I will try to get better ;-)
Christian OE3CJB
I am still at it! Although I sometimes cannot practice RUFZ for weeks at a
time, my goal is to do two or three runs a day.
Morse code weight lifting! :)
Attached is my latest top speed of 431. Lately I can reach 403 most times
so I sense a breakthrough coming soon.
What a thrill it will be to break 50k!
Thanks and 73,
David, N6AN
I had a very nice weekend!
Pick two times new max-speed and i'm now very happy because of 70 wpm ressult.
73 Erkki SM5NBE
I was amazed that I copied correctly at 431!
I know that compared to others it is not very high,
but for me to think that I copied a call correctly
(in a different run) at 86.2 wpm is unimaginable!
73 Bob KQ2M
Very funny...
Will begin learn HSC again after long times inactivity.
SM5NBE
I have been very lazy lately!
Have not done any rufz for a long time. It took me some time to beat my old
high-score but I finally did!
73:s Hans SM7MXO or sometimes also SM0MXO
Thank you and congratulations for your software,
it's useful and marvellous! I like it very much.
I hope to improve my Morse codifing using it.
73 de 3073VE Paolo (SWL)
Nun wieder verbessert, RUFZ macht suechtig, hihi !!!!
73! de Sven DO5ARD
Sure have a long way to go to get back up to the top speeds
again. My days of 90wpm are long gone now, but will keep
playing with the RUFZ programme. I enjoy it.
My birthday date is .. making me just over 73 !!
73 Doug VE7NH
I have a new high score to announce, and proudly at that! ;-)
Feels SO good!
73, David XE1/AA6RX
It has been four months since I submitted my last high score.
Breaking through gets harder and harder, but feels, OH, so good!
Also, the BCC PED contest has been a distraction.
But I think the two disciplines complement each other training-wise.
Now I am in the 40k/400 club all in the same score. Super!
73, David XE1/AA6RX
[DL4MM:] I agree, RUFZ and PED complement each other perfectly.
I don't use RUFZ on a regular basis, just once in a while. Seems I always
improve scores after looong absence to RUFZ, hi. Still one of my favorites!
73 de Oliver OE5OHO.
Wow!
Fifteen updated entries (in the Males >20) from the US this week.
Good to see activity so far in advance of contest season!
73 Mike N2MG
Unfortunately I still havent new one....but I dont surrender!
73 de Tom, 9A5TO
This is fun. I'm climbing the list.....
73 Andreas, LA8AJA
I'm enjoying this more and more :-)
Broke 30k a week ago, now I'm halfway to 40k.
73 Andreas, LA8AJA
Nice program . It's my permanent hobby.
73...Dias PY7OJ
Finally broke my old record, and reached the 30k level.
It's been long time since last time.
A few years I think, but now I'm back :-)
73 Andreas, LA8AJA
Broke my score once again. This if fun.....
BTW, while training, I heard a funny call A15AA.
Type error in the callsign file or???
73 Andreas, LA8AJA
[DL4MM:] A15AA was a DX'pedition by DJ6SI to Abu Ail Isl. in 1990.
This is an "deleted DXCC-entity" in between.
Hello Mats,
this is my latest RUFZ-Hiscore
> 1 AP1RIL 289063 657 657 1 17968563<
I know it's still not very good, and I will have to practice a lot until next 1st of april...
vy 73, OM Fool, AP1RIL
[DL4MM:] Hi Fool, congrats for your fb score, you are doing vy fine,
I'm looking forward to meet you in QSO next April 1st.
Ivana, 9A5AIS, made new score
In one hand I'm happy about her new result, but in the second hand I'm not
happy with that, because now she have more then 1/2 points of my best score...
Now is my turn, but it isn't easy to do it....
So I use "new one" method for training RUFZ....almoust every day I run few
KmetersMkilometers.....also preparing for ARDF-championships.....but nothing
speccialy, hihi
73's de Tom, 9A5TO
I have been waiting since December to submit a new highscore.
Finally I am able to do so. One week after my birthday the 40k
score barrier at last falls! Now I am in the 40/400 club for sure!
Judging by how long it took me to reach this level, I won't crack
50k for at least 4 to 6 months. Whew! But I am impressed by how much
easier I can handle a pileup on PED or my improved contesting ability during
the February NA Sprint.
Thanks again for the months of torture! ;-)
73, David AA6RX/XE1
I am again in top form....not much better result but it is NEW!!
73 CUL de TOM 9A5TO
I am again in top form....not much better result but it is NEW!!
73 / CUL de TOM 9A5TO
I am less than 500 points away from cracking the 40k ceiling.
One of these days...
In the meantime my 400 topspeed barrier fell today.
I managed to jump to 416!
Thanks for keeping me off the streets and out of trouble, hi!
73, David AA6RX
after 2dcl of french wine my score raised by almost 2000 points.
I wonder what will happen after 1 liter of wine, hi hi hi
I will try it
Mike, OM2DX
I have upped my starting speed to 230. I can remember when that was "too fast!"
Just this evening I sent the program to XE1IMI who is very interested in CW.
I hope he joins in the fun!
vy 73, David AA6RX
ps My son and I will be spending a few days at the beach next week.
Maybe that relaxing atmosphere will be just what I need to break 40k!
Here is my latest improvement. I have some 100 tries over 30k now
but cracking my best score has been very difficult,hi.
One thing is clear. My code speed is faster
and my character recognition is much improved.
40k is a future reality.
Happy Holidays!
David AA6RX
One glass of gin meant my new speed 500 Paris
One glass more - new score record
Jano, OM2IB
[DL4MM]: It seems we have to make "Doping Tests" in future, hi
Finally broke 40k and reached 378 speed!
Never thought I could reach this far. Next target is 50k maybe :-)
Ed - DU1ODX
Now I havent much time for treining rufz, but almoust every day do 2/3 attemps
just to stay in 4m.
73 de TOM 9A5TO
Nothing changed...but i've come back.
I haven't played RUFZ for a long time
but after few attempts i got over my old score...
is just better than nothing!
